Following a significant rain event in June, major flooding of the car park and pro shop were experienced at Chigwell Golf Club, indeed the flood water was inches from entering the newly renovated clubhouse. Drainage specialist Profusion were contacted to find a solution to the problem. An innovative flood defence bund was constructed as a golf feature on Hole 1 to retain potential flood water within the golf course to be released once general surface water has been discharged.
