Major drainage works commenced in August on Holes 5, 6, 7, & 8. Some 9,700 linear metres of primary drainage pipework was installed, creating a network of pipes at 5 metre spacing’s within each fairway. The system is complimented by secondary drainage, utilising gravel bands installed at 1 metre spacing’s. Arising’s from the trenchlines was used to improve some golf featuring within the fairways, these areas were topsoiled and seeded.
