From the age of 16 Nigel has been involved in the construction industry working his way from labourer to Contracts Director on behalf of his previous employer MJ Abbott Limited, a career which to date spans over 35 years.

During his time at MJ Abbott Limited, Nigel played an integral role in introducing the company to the Sportsturf market by securing their first golf project with Dave Thomas Limited for Bowood Park Golf Club back in 1988. Since then Nigel has been involved in some of the most interesting and prestigious projects to date including the construction of the Ryder Cup Twenty Ten Course, pitch renovations at Hackney Marshes, London, rainwater harvesting and reservoir construction at Burnham Beeches Golf Club, Berkshire.

Passionate about the industry Nigel continues to support associations and education giving his time freely in order to pass on his knowledge and experiences. In 2004 he became the Chairman of the Land Drainage Contractors Association, a position he held consecutively until 2010.

Being open to new ideas and innovations has paid off for Nigel. Working closely with Blinder to perfect a unique solution for lining golf bunkers, Profusion secured an exclusive agreement to install the Blinder product throughout the UK and Europe.

Starting Profusion has given Nigel the opportunity to ensure he is ‘hands on’ from the initial proposals to completion of projects offering a wide range of solutions and knowledge needed throughout the construction process.

Overseeing the office administration and management tasks Louise is either based at our main office or on site with the team on major projects ensuring the team is well watered and fed. Having spent her career from nineteen within the golf industry with tasks ranging from marketing, education and sales, Louise utilises these skills by concentrating on ensuring the team and our clients have all they need to deliver the tasks in hand. She may even have installed Blinder within your bunkers

Simon heads our northern team and has over 15 years’ experience in the sports turf industry. Having gained experience working on contracts throughout the UK and Europe he understands and delivers the attention to detail that is required on every project. A keen golfer with a fantastic work ethic, Simon likes nothing better than to spend his days working on golf courses.

Simon has played a key role in the construction and development of prestigious courses such as Wentworth Golf Club, Queenwood Golf Club, Royal Automobile Club, Wimbledon Park Golf Club, Burhill Golf Club, Rockcliffe Hall, Celtic Manor Resort, Formby Hall Resort, and has been instrumental in installing Blinder Bunker Liner at some of our European venues – The Dutch Golf Club – Holland, Sankt Jorgen Park Golf Club – Sweden, Hamberger Golf Club – Germany and Dortmunder Golf Club Germany.
